Our Proposal
In 2005, Presbyterian Healthcare responded to the need for another hospital in York County by proposing a full-service community hospital in Fort Mill. The proposed Presbyterian Hospital Fort Mill will feature 64 acute-care beds, 24-hour emergency department, maternity services and a full range of advanced treatments options and diagnostic capabilities. In addition to expert staff and leading-edge technology, Presbyterian Hospital Fort Mill will offer special amenities such as room service-style dining, daybeds and wireless internet in patient rooms to provide the most remarkable experience possible for our patients.

When we applied to build a new hospital in York County five years ago, our proposal received overwhelming support by the community, area physicians and elected officials. We were truly honored by the response to our project, and, like much of the York County community, we were disappointed by the State's decision.
